Heroes2 Appoints JuJu Chan As Goodwill Ambassador

Hong Kong-based Actress and Beauty Queen is The Face of New Environmental Community NGO

Heroes2, a social enterprise dedicated to encouraging, connecting and channeling individual participation to combat environmental threats, has appointed JuJu Chan (陳鈺芸) as its first Goodwill Ambassador.In the coming months Chan will be actively involved in Heroes2 environmental, education and community projects as well as making public appearances on its behalf.


Heroes2 was founded by retired business executive Raymond Yap on the premise that everyone has a role to play in the battle to save our planet home and that small actions, repeated enough times by enough people, can result in significant environmental improvements.

“People are at the core of the Heroes2 movement and so I’m thrilled that Juju has agreed to be our Goodwill Ambassador,” said Yap. “Her support for Heroes2 sends a positive message to the community that we can all play a role in creating a sustainable future for humanity.”

Chan is one of Hong Kong’s new acting talents, having come to prominence as the title role in LUMINA, a groundbreaking web series released last year for which she was nominated as Best Actress in the 2nd American Soap Awards 2009. She is best know for participating in (Millionaires Fight Poverty), an RTHK reality TV series in which she lived in a caged house for a week, worked as a dish washer and took care of a six year old boy. She is currently involved in several movie and web TV projects, including Beach Spike which is due out in the 4th quarter of 2010.

“The Heroes2 message is one we all need to embrace and act upon, so I’m very pleased to be taking on the role of ambassador,” said Chan. “We need an army of heroes to combat global environmental threats, so I hope other young people in Hong Kong and China will join Heroes2 to make a change for the better.”

As well as acting Chan is also sought after as a model following her success as a beauty pageant contestant. In 2009 she participated in the United Nation International Pageant where she was named Miss United Nation International Ambassador, Miss Congeniality, Miss China, and Miss Photogenic. She was also named Miss TVB People’s Choice in Miss Chinatown USA Pageant 2009.

Chan is also a budding entrepreneur having established her own marketing and media company, JuJu Concepts Ltd, this year. As well as being the Heroes2 Ambassador, Chan does voluntary work for a number of local charities.
